Rooted in the rich traditions of my childhood and my family’s heritage in handloom weaving, my artistic journey began by observing the intricate process of dyeing fabrics. The vivid, luminous colors applied by my ancestors fascinated me—colors so vibrant they shimmered like light, leaving lasting impressions of brilliance and beauty. My academic engagement with contemporary art deepened this fascination, particularly with how light is conceptualized and represented in visual form. This led me to a sustained inquiry into the presence of light—its physical properties, symbolic meanings, and emotional impact within the pictorial space. My practice is an exploration of how light, color, and space converge to create layered, immersive experiences.
