Artist Bio :

He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Visual Communication from JNTU, followed by a Master’s degree in Art History from the prestigious MS University, Baroda. Currently, he is furthering his contribution to the field as a PhD scholar in Art and Design Education at IIT Hyderabad. Gannu’s technical repertoire spans wood, bronze, fiber, stone, and mixed media. His creative process is deeply methodical, evolving from conceptual sketches into 3D maquettes before being realized as large-scale sculptures. His notable series, "Alert," explores the plight of endangered creatures and the destructive nature of human dominance, serving as a temporal "call to action." Beyond environmental themes, his work boldly addresses sex education, human habits, and the complexities of modern politics. A recognized voice in the contemporary art scene, Gannu has participated in and received awards from numerous state and national-level exhibitions. Beyond the studio, he is a dedicated curator and an active leader in community collaboration programs, striving to bridge the gap between intellectual inquiry and public discourse
